Easter 2010

We were very busy with Easter egg hunts this year. We had a total of three this year. The first one was through the Mahomet Recreation called the Eggstravaganza. This was Jacob's first time doing an egg hunt. He was cute and did well. He didn't find very many eggs, but we were happy with what he did find! Hannah did very well. She found the golden egg. She received a very nice basket of gifts that included a playground ball, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, jump rope, candy, free pizza from Dominos and a recorder. On the Saturday before Easter, Maw Maw, Paw Paw and Aunt B came to dinner and to color Easter Eggs. Our second egg hunt was from the Easter bunny. Hannah loved it...Jacob was more interested in the Easter basket. Our third egg hunt was at Maw Maw's and Paw Paw's. It was in the morning, before church and wet, but fun! Here are some pictures.

Hannah's 4 year pictures

I took Hannah today to get her four year pictures taken at Sears. Was a little nervous. Hannah tends to not look at the camera and doesn't smile a lot for pictures. She did so great! Was very pleased. Here are the pictures!

Hannah is 4!!

Hannah turned 4 yesterday, March 21st. It is hard to believe it has been 4 years already. She had a very couple of weeks and a busy weekend. Her birthday started with a birthday party in St. Louis with a couple of her cousins. Then a party with her Aunt B because she is now in Mexico, then on Friday, March 19th we brought cupcakes to school. Then a family birthday party on Saturday and another family birthday party on Sunday! She had a very exciting and fun birthday this year!

Hannah's New Glasses

We found out in early December that Hannah was going to need glasses. Hard to face, but when they need them they need them. She is doing so well with them. We went to Florida in early February an the first day we arrived she lost one of her lenses. Ughhhh! So we went without glasses until we returned and then a week after we ordered them. We finally had them fixed and her brother Jacob bent them in a way they should not be bent!! I bent them back and then Jason tried to make them as straight as we could. We will be off to the eye doctor on Saturday to fix them...hopefully! Here are some pictures.

Playing at the Beach!

We took a quick trip to Florida to visit Grandma and Grandad Frank in early February. It was too quick! We went to the beach, bookstore, shopped at the outlet mall and had a nice time. Here are a few pictures.

Happy Halloween

Halloween was fun this year. Hannah was Snow White and Jacob was Superman. We took them around to all of the local family and then to a few neighbors around us...still came home with a lot of goodies. Here are some pictures.

Jacob's 2nd Birthday

Jacob turned 2 on September 24th, how the year flew! We had two birthday parties for him. He really was not interested and didn't have any interest in opening up gifts. He did want to play with his new toys though. Jacob even fell asleep during his birthday party while eating doritos. He was so cute! Jacob is a very cute and sweet boy, but boy does he have a temper on him. Here are some cute pictures from his birthday parties.

Apple Picking 2009

We decided to go to Curtis Orchard to pick some fresh apples. Hannah enjoyed picking the apples and Jake enjoyed sitting in the wagon watching!

Hannah's first day of preschool

Hannah began preschool again this fall, what a difference. She rode the bus to school and back to maw maw's. She was hesitant, but did it with no tears! She is such a big girl!

Los Angeles, CA

We went to Los Angeles, CA for week. I had to go for a work conference, so we decided to all go and do a little sight seeing when there was free time. It was a very interesting trip. LA is not my favorite city. From a change of hotel to traffic heading into LA it was interesting. We were able to visit the Zoo, Santa Monica Pier. Hannah went on a couple of rides on the Carousel and loved it. We went on a trip down Hollywood and saw the Stars. We also had ice cream at the Disney Soda Shop. We were supposed to have dinner with one of Jason's friends, but that ended up not working out.

Overall it was a good trip, a little much for Hannah and Jacob since they were so young. We had a pool at the hotel where we stayed, but it was a little too cool to swim. We stayed very very close to the airport to the point we could see a runway out the window. This was enjoyable for Hannah because she was able to see the plans land.

Hannah's first day of school!!

Hannah began her first day of preschool yesterday. I drove her to school, stayed for a little while and then left and picked her back up. Hannah did very well. She had a lot of fun and she even said she didn't cry when I picked her up. Today she took the bus to school. I was very nervous about this and hoped that she would do well. She did, I did not. I walked her up the steps, they told me I could not get on the bus, so I took a picture and got off. They put her in a car seat and drove off...boy was that tough. I came home and called school when I thought she might be there to check on her. She was there with Mrs. T. in the library have a good time, and she was fine. I am going to meet her at the bus when she is done with school, get some pictures and then go to work. We will see what she has to say! Here are some pictures of the first two days of school.

They are growing too quickly.

Hannah turned 3 on March 21st and Jacob turned 18 months on March 24th. We were off to Sears for pictures. Boy was it a test to my patience. Jacob didn't want to sit still. Thankfully we were able to get some good ones. Hannah did well this time, she loves pictures. Hannah is having 2 parties this year and the theme is Dora the Explorer. First party is this weekend, 2nd party is the Saturday before Easter. Jacob goes to his well baby visit tomorrow. He has been sick with a fever for the last 3 days. Hopefully they can shed light on when he might get better. Our household has been sick since last Tuesday, no fun!! Hannah is going to start going to preschool next week at MiddleTown here in Mahomet. This is where she will go to Kindergarten. I am not ready, but ready or not she is starting. We have bought her a Strawberry Shortcake backpack for school and have been talking to her about it so get her ready. She will even get to ride a bus to and from school. They will pick her up at my moms and drop her back off. We are not sure if she will go in the morning or afternoon yet. Hard to believe. Here are some pictures:

FAMILY PHOTOS! WHAT A JOB.....

We decided that it was time for some family photos now that Hannah is 2 1/2 and Jacob is one. The appointment went overall well as the photos did turn out good and you would never know what we did to get the photos. I was sweating during it and the nice photographer turned on the fan for me to help, I was embarrassed. Jacob didn't want to sit still and was giving us a hard time. I was suprised since he loves to smile, but he didn't want to today. Hannah would smile, but not facing the camera, oh boy! Thankfully they turned out over all pretty good! I think it will be awhile until we try this again.

Jacob's 1st birthday

For Jacob's first birthday we had two party's. One on Saturday with the Frank/Reese/Cloutier's and the Second with the Gillham's. We had a great time. Jacob had his first meal of "real" food, so we tried lasagna and spaghetti. He loved it and loves eating all food now. The boy is never full and seems to be a bottomless pit!

New Swing Set!

We obtained a new but used swing set from the neighbor's down the road. It will be great for Hannah and Jacob for a few summer's to come. Hannah loves it and really enjoys all aspects of the swing set, but her most favorite is the slide! Jacob really enjoys his swing. It is hard to believe how big they are both getting. Time is going too quickly.

Vacation 2008 - Florida

We visited my grandmother in Florida early July. We had a nice visit with Grandma and family. We went to Fort Myers for a couple of days, otherwise we hung out at Grandma's and went to the pool etc. Here are some pictures....
